Join Out in Finance for a fast-moving briefing where attorneys from Jenner & Block LLP will distill the latest U.S. Supreme Court decisions on LGBTQ+ rights, state legislative developments, and global legal shifts impacting queer communities. The program will consist of a one-hour presentation including Q&A.

Presenters

Ali Arain
Partner, Jenner & Block

With extensive experience in financial services-related litigation and government investigations, Ali Arain represents clients in their most demanding matters. A seasoned litigator, Ali often represents companies in cases involving high-stakes business disputes, securities and other financial fraud, commercial contracts and complex financial products like mortgage-backed securities, collateralized debt obligations, and credit default swaps.

Ali maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing criminal defendants at both the trial and appellate court levels.

Jason Hipp
Partner, Jenner & Block

A Litigation Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Human Rights and Global Strategy Practice, Jason offers clients relentless advocacy combined with creative, strategic and steady guidance through litigation and beyond. Jason has significant experience navigating the intersection between US litigation and foreign law and legal systems and leads major commercial, national security, and human rights litigation in federal court. Jason also has extensive experience with fast-moving litigation, such as motions for preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders.

Jason’s pro bono practice includes representation of LGBTQ individuals seeking immigration relief and medical care, and he previously worked for an LGBTQ international human rights organization.

Rémi Jaffré
Partner, Jenner & Block

Rémi Jaffré helps clients in the media, entertainment, and technology industries achieve favorable outcomes in disputes involving trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, defamation and the First Amendment. Rémi also advises clients across industries on protecting their trademark rights and provides strategic counseling on trademark prosecution and portfolio management. He has represented clients before federal and state trial and appellate courts, arbitral panels, the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board and the USPTO.

Rémi is a Co-Chair of the firm’s LGBTQ Forum and a member of its Inclusion and Engagement Committee.
